Lahemaa National Park is one of the 'Must See' destinations in Estonia. Located east of Tallinn, this 725km2 nature haven has the destinction of having been the first national park to ever be established in the former Soviet Union.

A visit to Lahemaa simply should not be missed with natural wonders including untouched bog land, vast pine forests, magical waterfalls, and dramatic coastal scenery. Lahemaa is also a hot spot for wildlife with dozens of species of birdlife taking up residence here at certain times of the year.

Lahemaa boasts a network of trails, some of which are suitable for hiking as well as cycling. There is even a dedicated Beaver Track for those of you interested in this beautiful creature.

As well as offering a wonderful nature adventure, Lahemaa is also one of the leading places in Estonia for Estonian culture with the chance to visit traditional fishing villages and well-restored 18th century Manor Houses. This is one day trip that really should not be missed!
