The Tallinn TV tower was built in 1980 for the Olympic Games. From then on, Estonians were the best informed citizens during the cold war, being able to pick up broadcast from Moscow and Finland. KGB Building
1946, the NKVD becomes the KGB, the biggest totalitarian tool on the planet. The holy Soviet inquisition would work 24hours round the clock to track down the enemy of the people, leaving no room for compassion or mercy! A firing death squad or a deportation to Siberia was awaiting many at the end of dreadful interrogations.
The Officer House
This house hosted officers from the Soviet navy. One can still see communist symbols on the facade like Soviet looking stars.
Patarei Sea Fortress
This prison, most probably the gloomiest place in Estonia built in 1930 was then used by the KGB until 1991.
