The museum of occupation (1940-1991) contains a rich collection of documents tracing the life and pain endured by numerous Estonians deported during this period.

Maarjamäe War Memorial

During the 60s and 70s a grandiose, sprawling World War II concrete memorials were created in virtually every Soviet city. Tallinn’swar memorial complex is located on the coast, along thehighway that leads to Pirita Beach. The four-sided spire wasput up in 1960 as a memorial to Russians who died in 1918...

The Tallinn TV tower

The Tallinn TV tower was built in 1980 for the Olympic Games. From then on, Estonians were the best informed citizens during the cold war, being able to pick up broadcast from Moscow and Finland. This giant concrete needle will give an everlasting impression of incredible massive Soviet engineering.

KGB Building

1946, the NKVD becomes the KGB, the biggest totalitarian tool on the planet. The holy Soviet inquisition would work 24hours round the clock to track down the enemy of the people, leaving no room for compassion or mercy! A firing death squad or a deportation to Siberia was awaiting many at the end of dreadful interrogations.

The Officer House

This house hosted officers from the Soviet navy. One can still see communist symbols on the facade like Soviet looking stars.

Patarei Sea Fortress
