Become tsar for a day! In this wonderful gift to his empress wife Catherine, you will revive the mighty days of Peter the great success to open a window on Europe. Come and discover Kadriorg's magnificient gardens and its rich collection of masterpieces.

The pearl of Baroque was built by Niccolo Michetti, who was later involved with the famous Peterhof Palace. Still visible today, a small part of the right side wall is marked where it is said that the tsar himself laid the first foundation stones for the palace.

In the 1930’s, Kadriorg Palace became a rezidence for the head of state. On the same level, across the back flower garden, lies the president's office building, built a few years before World WarII, which today serves as the residence of the President of the Republic of Estonia.

You will walk along the Kadriorg's magnificient gardens, leading to Peter's the Great cottage where Peter the Great used to rest, preferring cottages to luxury palaces. Near Kadriorg stands the statue of the Russalka, the mermaid monument dedicated to the Russian armored ship which bared that name which sank in 1897 off the coast of Tallinn.
